On the last day of the classes, we had a potluck party. Now I am regrad not to take pictures of it. But anyway, we all enjoyed it. We got lots of food to eat, especially pizzzas. First I came in the classroom, some classmates putted the food on tables. It was like the food exibition, ha.

I Found Myself a Habit.

You know what, I just have found myself a habit yesterday. It is about buy drinks and chocolates weekly. I always buy some drinks at the beginning of a week, such as pop, fruit drinks, can tea. Also I buy chocolates too, I was not used to like chocolate when I was in China because the most of the chocolate in China are not concentrate. After I came Canada, I always eat and eat chocolate. I think that's why I like Halloween, and I continuous in every single week. Oh yeah, I sometimes eat chips too, but I never get fatter. You know what, I want to be a stronger boy right now. However, I can see eating can not make me become fatter. I planed whenever I can get fatter, I will do excise to make myself become stronger. So, my habit is going to buy such staff every week. I am not sure it is good or not now, but I will figure it out later. What do you think?

Western Mall Trip

Yesterday, my sister and I went to Edmonton, and we only visited the Western Mall. We went there for preparing X-mas gifts. The mall is huge and huge, we never know where were we going in it, and sometimes we get lost. I knew that there are more 800 stores in it. It means we can find any gifts we want. However, I prefer to the sport cars there and electricity products more than clothes. I didn't buy anything, but my sister bought a lot for her and her friends. There are the World Water Park and the Galaxy Land in the mall too. We thought that there are mostly for children, and we didn't want to get wet. Then we didn't play in both of them. I also found a interesting thing. There is a China Town in the mall. I just couldn't imagine that a town in a mall. For sure, China Town has Chinese stores and T & T super market. You can see how huge the mall is. A bad thing to go to there is that we have to stay in the bus for more than 3 hours, and we couldn't go to washroom because there is no stop during the trip. I think I will never go there again by bus.

Something about Limited-Time Free Writing

As I can remember, We didn't do anymore free writing in classes these days. Right? Maybe we didn't learn anymore new topics, so we have no thing to write about. Whatever, I don't know. From my analizy, my works of 5 min. writing in this semester, they are almost the same, but they are improving a little bit. From the begining of 114 words to now of 134 words normally, I get improved.(unfinished)

I decided to quit a job.

I was struggling for many months.
I was in pain for a year.
I was tired in this year.
So I decided to quit. There are many reason for it. I started my another job in hotel in this January. It was hard because I always need to move heavy tables and chairs. There are not a few. If I have to set up for a wedding or meeting, I need to move or remove hundreds chairs and hundred tables only by my hands. Oh, and I have to finish them in a night. When I go home, I am too tired to do anything else, even to take a shower. Then, there is another reason. I always work at there in weekdays. As you know, I have classes in weekdays, so I go to work almost everyday after I finished my classes. It doesn't matter because I need to. However, I waste too much time on my way to hotel. You know? I have to take an hour by bus to there, and I am so tired when I get off the bus. I am not gonna work like that. One more reason is that I have to pay attention to my academic success. The real university life is coming if I pass EAP. I maybe need more time to study. If I still work so hard to earn money, I may pay double tuition's because I may fail or something. It is not valuable. Uh... I decided to quit when this year end. One job is enough even though I get less money. Right?

The 1st Snow in 2007

It began snowing since yesterday in Calgary. Wow... You know what, I still can remember that there was all white at last Halloween. Children stepped on snow and went thick-or-treating, but it just snowed now this year. I heard some older immigrant said that it was much colder many years before in Calgary. Some of their cousins dropped their ears outside because of the coldness. Wow... By the way, I was used to lived near tropics in China. After I came here, I realized that I prefer to cold weather more than hot. Amm, even though the snow comes later and later, I still like to live here. I just hope that the world won't be totally hot. I have not place to stay in. I like snow because its white. It is like to cover everything which is annoying people.

The Banff Trip

On November 10, my sister and I went to Banff under the CISSA organized. It was my third time to Banff, but I also found something new and good to know. For example, It snowed. I had been to there all in summer time before, so it surprised me. I saw the real "snow mountains". Also, I found the snow in Banff was different from Calgary's. They were balls like the balls in your ball pens. Kind of interesting,ah? We went to Hot Spring. How relax we were! You know what, when I was soaked in hot water, it was snowing above. It was my first time in my life to have such a experience, be between hot and snow. However, I felt a little upset of the town because of the global warming. I could see that the snow level on mountains becomes higher and higher. That means the snow will be disappear one day, isn't it? I am not sure about it. It's good to find out why.

Something about My Annotated Bibliography Projest

I'm doing my Annotated Bibliography Project. I'm tired of it cuz I started work on it at noon. I spend many hours on it already. Maybe it's my first time to do it, I just want to finish it as the best. We say that is a well beginning. I read the article called The Key to My Second-Language Voice. It talks about a Canadian girl, who knows a little French, went to French to work as a English teaching assistant. She described what she met, felt, and imagined when she was facing language problems. I really be shock by these because I felt she was describing me!! Or she was describing most international workers or students who have language problems in foreign countries. It helps me to think about the situation I was just landed in Canada.
I think that one book can be recognised as a good book not because it's fancy but this book really flew into readers' hearts. So, it is an amazing article. An Idyllic Campus

Now is Fall, leaves turn yellow and fall. As I saw, the campus becomes so idyllic. Nobody will ask why. We can only prove it by million reasons. I was looking at the blue sky, feeling the wind that from Mt. Rocky, listening the sound, sah,sah,sah, from what you see in the picture.

Where am I? I asked myself many times and got no answer because I know I'm unable to know it. Calgary, a city on high, now is the city with fastest growing populations. Is it the answer for the idyllic city? No, it makes the nature more like economy. Okay, Igroning the everything, think about why leaves can fall. Then I know I'm placed in a place touching pradise.

Our campus is such a idyllic pradise. That's why I came here.

Here I Am!

Here I am! After I got into EAP 3, I really felt that it was awesome because it is the final grade of EAP. However, it is not the end of learning English. As everybody knows, learning a language is forever. Okay, just let me do a little bit review of EAP 2 before I start EAP 3. In the last level, I did my blogs, but not ofter, or I can say rarely. I didn't know the reason for my laziness. I felt sorry for it. I promise I'm gonna to do better, all rite, but I have to anyway. Last semester, I learned from great teachers, Jeanie, Regina. They were awesome because they provided such many opportunities for me to learn. Thank them. Time is flying, many weeks have pasted and I'm doing okay. Of course, because I like to learn with Scott and I'm clear with my purpose. The problem I'm face now is to improve my writing skills. Soctt said I have too many complex sentences, that's good thing, but I can't describe what I want to say. Yeah, What I want to say? That's what I will working on. Are my classmates in the same situation like me? Probably we could get together to discuss it. Will you?

I read the article named Lady or Tiger today. I knew that it is hot online,blogs. All people who read it are guessing the end of it. In my mind, I think that the princess would send her lover to the lady. The reason is that I believe “women are made by water.” It means that a woman, who is barbaric when she treats every surface or unimportant thing, has a heart likes water-- be broke easily and passable, especially when she faces her true lover or children. For example, a mother strict on her children angrily, but she never want to hurt them. On the other hand, she loves her children absolutely. Also, she does not want her lover or husband to be bad because he is in her heart. Even a woman is barbaric, she will chooses to cry in her heart and does not let who she really care about be worse. Due to that, I think there would be a wedding in the arena, and the lady and princess’s lover would leave the country. It is the end.

Where can I find fair in EAPP?

All of EAP 2 students took the writing midterm exam today. It was fair for everyone to start at the same time. We were all aware that we may not have enough time to finish brainstorm, outline, first draft and final draft, so we all worked very hard during the examination. We thought a lot, we wrote a lot and we panic a lot. Luckily, I finished all of them just on time and I handed it in with smiling, even though I knew that I can not get a good mark in writing class. Unfortunately, one thing happened at the last few minutes. While it was the time to stop writing, generally there were few students were still writing. In that case, the proctor needed to stop those students. Right, she did, but one unique student was still writing her final draft when proctor was stopping the rest students, and she just liked a ghost that the proctor did not stop her. I was sorry to hear that some students handed the writing without finished. After all students except that unique student left the room, the proctor shut the door until that student handed her papers. It shocked my brain, and reminds me one thing happened in the writing test last Friddy. That student also delayed her exam time when our whole class were waiting for her left to rest the classroom for us. Finally, we gave her 15 mins to done her work; however, 15 mins.*15 person=225 mins. =3hrs.45mins.. She wasted us 3.75 hrs. to did her work, and teacher told us not to interfered her until she finished!
I always think that people have the same opportunity to do everything in Canada. According to the fact I saw today. I changed my mind.

Hello, All EAPP 2 Students!

Welcome blogging here. It is a fantastic thing to create a blog. Thank you for giving a great opportunity to me to do my blog. It is a possible way to improve our English and offer so much fun.
What I want to say now is that I want to know the EAPP2 students and teachers well first. Could you (whom isn't know me well) leave your comments which are something interesting about you, please.
Then you should think how you can know me. Okay, I'm John, Cantonese, EAPP2 L22 student. One thing interesting about me that is, one day, a customer in SCK (the Chinese restaurant I work at) asked me:" How come you are more skinny than before? You are working in a restaurant." I answered:"You are thinking that I should be fatter because I have dealing with food so far? I'm more skinny than before because I'm working at SCK." You know what, SCK always full with customer, but always not enough waiter/waitress to work, so I have to run all day. It doesn't seem interesting, but it's true anyway.
Here is the new semester. Doing some changes in a new environment can make ourselves to adapt it and get the more easy life style. I'm aware and changing. How about you?
I hope all of my classmates have a good time in this semester. Do your best!
